MOM'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATING WITH THE ANGELS

How many times can you have a 90th birthday?  Same amount of times you can have all the rest of them.  Today marks the day to the year when Florfina wore the crown for a day for the last time.  Three months after this picture was taken, she was born into heavenly eternal life.  We can only surmise about the meeting between her and St. Peter, but we are all convinced that it went well.
On the day that we celebrated her 90th birth anniversary, we were also celebrating the love and loyalty of her children and her grandchildren.  The smile on Edmond's face tells of the love and care that he had for his dear mother.  He took care of her for years.  Living in the same house, doing all the things that good children do to make the lives of their parents livable.  Ed is not going to have to worry about his meeting with St. Peter either.  Mom is there to intercede, and intercede she will.

Then there is the girl.  The first born of Florfina.  Belle is the natural mother of two children, born and brought up here in California.  Florfina is the supernatural mother of those two boys.  It would be nice to have their pictures here, but space is at a premium.  You can meet them by clicking here.  They two have a strong intercessor up there reminding God about how great they are.
Birthdays are happy times, even when the number of future ones can reasonably be counted in the fingers of one hand.  They are even happy times when they are no longer counted here on earth.  We celebrate therm anyway because we celebrate life, earthly and heavenly more easily when we peg the celebration to the first breath instead of to the last.  Sometimes the circumstances around the last moments are traumatic, or maybe just a little painful.  So we look up to heaven and we say, "Mama, we remember you and we know that you are taking care of us.  Please tell God and Our Mama Mary to help you keep us well."
We know that no one can say "no" to you because you did not deny anyone your presence and your help for the 90 years that you served God here below.  So we are glad to be able to celebrate your birthday together with The Father, the Son, The Holy Spirit, Mama Mary and Papa Joseph.

  1. This one strikes a deep chord, because Denis and I, too, shared our home with a beloved mother who also intercedes for us from her place of glory in heaven. Thank you for shedding an inspirational light on this subject.
