Then, all of a sudden, an enormous hole in the shape of a deep throat-ed valley opened up to our bulging eyes and gaping mouths. There below and ahead, to the right of the vehicle at about the one o'clock position was the heavenly blue expanse of Lake Tahoe nestled into the caressing recess of an angel's "wing-pit."
